From the outside

Design adds value

By angling the balconies and letting the far row stick out a little from the corner, the architect achieved two great effects. He managed to break up the rectangular shape of the property. And he was able to make optimum use of the light and sun to illuminate the balconies and apartments.

We bring a façade to life

Glazed balconies can work wonders on the dullest façade, as we have seen time after time. Our unique balcony solutions are an investment that will help strengthen the character of the building and make the living environment more attractive. In partnership with an architect, individual blocks or a whole estate can have a modern look or be given a well needed facelift. The visions our customers have when they contact us are a constant source of inspiration, driving us to produce new innovations. Balconies and facades don’t need to be straight and square. Let your imagination run free. Think outside a box.

The role of the architect

In ancient Greece, the architect was the person responsible both for the design and erection of important buildings. He was therefore an expert on aesthetics and construction. And that’s how it still works in many countries, but there are some where design has developed into a discipline of its own. Here, the architect works only on the aesthetics of the building. Whatever role the architect has, we, as designers and contractors, see it as a benefit if the architect can be involved right from the initial ideas phase. After all, the architect has the expertise to make the most of the conditions in each project.

The introduction of a glazed balcony, or extension of an existing balcony, has to give careful consideration to the physical properties of a building and its aesthetics, so that no sensitive details are overlooked.

Great opportunities

Our products offer a wide range of options when it comes to design, drainage, window systems, glass, colours and materials. This sets the bar high for us as manufacturers and suppliers. However, we can rely on the superb technical expertise of our designers and the long experience of our project managers. In partnership with a good architect, our balcony glazing solutions become a part of the architecture, with the glass helping to create better living environments and closer contact with the outside world. It is not entirely easy developing an attractive and at the same time functional glazing system. We therefore want to be a source of inspiration for architects – a flexible and innovative supplier who is open to all the ideas and suggestions of the architect. We are not content to rely on standard solutions. For us, every project is unique and should be designed based on the conditions of each particular building. In short, we love bringing a façade to life.

Capturing & using the sun´s power

Solenergi

Connecting the photovoltaic cells in series and linking them to the grid allows the sun’s energy to be used for heating. Integrating the solar panels into the façade also makes for exciting architecture.
